I'm sitting in the caf and where I normally look out and see sunny skies and the sparkling blue ocean, I see a cloud of white. And everything's wet. It's raining! And though it's tough to beat a sunny malibu summer day, it's a blessing to feel fall/winter rolling in. It feels good to walk outside and need my north face fleece I knew I would need at SOME point this year.
Plus it smells good :)
Thanks for the car wash God!
I LOVE MY LIFE!!!

Thomas, it's that "Attitude of Gratitude." There's always something to be thankful for in any situation.

Man, my car is in the shop. REMIX... Wow, I am blessed enough to have a car in the first place!

I would like to add one thought to that. It has to do with accountability groups. I was part of one all through high school in which we basically focused on the sin in our lives and what we were doing wrong. We were constantly saying we needed to do more, try harder, be better. There is always a place for confession, but God doesn't want Christian FML's, he wants people getting together to share how he is working and to get excited about how he is moving! He doesn't want us sad about what WE are doing, he wants us passionate about what HE is doing.

Even when things are going wrong, there is something to praise God about-LML

One more thing is that I don't think that anyone would truly want a God that could be completely described or explained. We are built with a desire to be fascinated, how could we possibly remain fascinated with God if we could fully understand him? And since we can't fully understand him, how in the world could we attempt to completely describe him?

Thomas, I am LOVING the series this year! Tonight with your re-examination of Deliverance, I felt the very foundation of my faith being strengthened. I feel the presence of the Spirit when we gather as a community-TTL

I am so blessed to be a part of the Campus Ministry FAMILY- LML

Here's a site that does something similar:
http://mylifeisg.com/

People talking about the good things that happen in their days or their lives. Everything from the mundane to the inspirational. Mostly secular, but, at least from the ones I've read, 99% are appropriate.

I went to Collide last night and (after being guilt-tripped into commenting.. haha) got filled spiritually. Now that I'm graduated and not constantly surrounded by Christians, I think I've learned at a deeper level the importance of a spiritual community. God has put me into his mission field (which can be tough at times) AND has given me great friends and mentors that I'm guaranteed to see at least once a week - TTL

Also, the Niners are 2-0 baby! Playoffs here we come! - LML

Oh snap, I can make comments on this. Great post, Thomas. May I add this...

We only begin to know God when we admit we know hardly anything at all. Perhaps that is why Jesus said we must take on the likeness of a child to enter the Kingdom...
